Ana This album has come to mean a lot to me over the years...I've been spellbound from the moment I first heard it. There's just...something about it. An undefinable quality, something that takes hold of you and transports you to another place. A place where you can almost feel the cold bite at your cheeks, where you can smell the blood, hanging heavy in the air, and, shivering with anticipation, hear the raven up above, croaking danger is near. Listen up! You can almost hear the battle cry! Favorite track: Blood on the Hoar-Frost: I. Spoor, II. March of the Gargantuas, III. The Ravens' Banquet.

Rhett Huebschmann When I describe this album to people, the best explanation I can come up with is, Lord of the Rings, set to heavy metal. Or, the soundtrack to a barbarian conquest. Or, all of a sudden, I'm carrying a hefted battle axe sending a sworn enemy to meet Crom! Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women! Favorite track: Blood on the Hoar-Frost: I. Spoor, II. March of the Gargantuas, III. The Ravens' Banquet.

about

Borean Dusk

Borean Dusk formed in the Spring of 2008. As a tight four-piece unit of seasoned musicians, the band quickly decided against recruiting a vocalist after hearing the raw might and powerful complexity of the music: thunderous progressive instrumental metal interwoven with elaborate acoustic instrumentation. ... more
